Most companies are driven by a top down approach when it comes to visual design. There are storyboards, meetings, and slide decks to communicate the designers vision. With this method however, there are many assumptions made without fully exploring what's actually possible. At Fieldguide, we foster an environment where these assumptions are quickly challenged and changed to create a symbiotic relationship between the team members.

Ideation is to use creativity and innovation in order to develop solutions. By expanding the solution space, the design team will be able to look beyond the usual methods of solving problems in order to find better, more elegant, and satisfying solutions to problems that affect a user's experience of a product.
